For strip made of low-alloyed steels or structural steels, where the carbon content does not exceed 0.25%, elasticity and ductility of products are inherent. With the help of correct stress redistribution, such steels are easily deformable in the cold state, without additional defects (cracks or chips).
Products from low-alloy steel, in contrast to products from low-carbon alloys, have greater strength and higher impact strength.

Strips made of unalloyed ordinary steel have a fairly high resistance and withstand significant loads. After galvanizing, the steel acquires additional anti-corrosion properties.

Products made of high-quality structural unalloyed steel are distinguished by their high strength, which makes it possible to use the European strip for the manufacture of components for highly loaded structures undergoing variable loads.
The steels are standardized in accordance with European specifications for their intended use:
  • for work at elevated temperatures - EN 10028-2, -3, -6;
  • for hardening and tempering - EN 10083-1, -2, -3;
  • for the manufacture of hardened machine body parts - EN 10084;
  • for cold forming - EN 10149-2, -3;
  • for general technical use - EN 10277-2.
Hot-rolled strips of structural steels (including welded fine-grained ones) after heat treatment, with improved resistance to atmospheric corrosion, with a high yield point in the quenched and tempered state are regulated by EN standard 10025-2, -3, -4, -5.

The dimensions of the euro strip EN vary in width from 10 to 650 mm, in height - from 0.3 to 110 mm. The length of the product is not measured and is determined upon request.
